Yiyang Leicha
Leicha has a long history in Yiyang. It is made of green tea, sesame, peanuts, fried rice, sugar and other raw materials. Drinking pounded tea in Taojiang, Anhua and other places in Yiyang has long been a custom. Almost every household will make pounded tea, and when they have nothing to do or entertain guests, they will make some to drink, filling a large bowl and adding to it while drinking. Ma Xiang Cake
Ma Xiang Cake is a well-known tourist delicacy in Yuanjiang, Yiyang. It is the first of the "Four Famous Cakes" in Hunan and has a production history of at least 200 years. It is mainly made from sesame seeds, black glutinous rice, and sugar through sixteen processes. The sesame flavored cake has a slightly yellow color, with a sesame aroma and a glutinous rice taste. It is loose, sweet, and crisp, refreshing.
Datong Lake hairy crab
The hairy crabs from Datong Lake are a specialty of Yiyang City, Hunan Province. The hairy crabs produced here are plump, large in size, with white bellies, green backs, yellow fur, and golden claws. The crab meat is fresh, smooth and tender, with a delicious taste like silver fish, especially the orange red crab roe, which is mouth watering. It is incredibly fat and not fishy at all.
